We also offers a choice of modifications alternatives to what is suited to you, encouraging student to connect, love and listen to their body.

Before your first ever Reset Yoga Class class

Firstly don’t worry, and just get your ass to class. If it is your first class, get to class 5-10 minutes before to fill out a questionnaire. It’s just routine to fill it out before physical activity with a new company. Your teacher will give you one before your first class and it is super important let us know before the class if you have any injuries or medical needs and if you have done yoga before; you only need to fill out the questionnaire one time only. Not every time you come to class, that would be crazy paper work to fill out.

FYI

Just so you know the data collected on the questionnaire will be kept super safe and will not be shared with any third parties. It is for the use of the teacher only, so they can provide the best class to you.

Payment

Payment needs to be made before class either in cash or via website link www.resetyoga.co.uk

What to wear?

Comfy clothes the comfier the better. We don’t mind if you practise in your pyjamas. Yoga is for everyone and it’s more important that you feel comfortable in what you’re wearing so you can enjoy the Hatha flow.

Layers are always good, so you can shed them like a caterpillar from a cocoon into the beautiful butterfly. Lol.  Or just when you just start to build heat and warm up. Basically what we are saying is wear whatever you like last year’s Halloween costume if you like but as long as it is comfy.

Bare foot feels

We do practise with bare feet. At the start of the class you might want to keep your socks on if it’s cold and a bit nippy but your teacher will let you know you when it’s time to release the tootsies. If you’re really not fancying going bare foot that’s okay you can buy special grip yoga socks.

Do I need a water and mat?

You can bring your own water but we have use of full kitchen faculties are on site for refreshments and if you are super lucky, some weeks we might bring in some tasty goodies for you.

We DO have Mats for you. These HAVE to be pre booked, please let us know on booking if you wish to use one. After each use they are cleaned with natural anti bacterial spray.

If you prefer to use your own that is absolutely fine too, or you might even want to double layer it (place your mat on top of ours for extra comfort.)

Hands on, hands off.

Sometimes your teacher may make physical adjustments. It’s great to receive hands-on adjustments as it can help you to gain better alignment or move you into a deeper expression of a pose. We are simply trying to help you find more ‘ease’ in the pose. Normally the teacher will ask at the beginning of the class to raise your hand if you don’t want any physical adjustments and that’s absolutely fine.

Essential extras

From time to time we will use essential oils in class, blended by our own fair hands and always organic and cruelty free. Essential oils are great for igniting the senses and are a great tool for deepen your practise. Personally lavender in Savasana is our absolute favourite. However if you prefer not to have any essential oils or are allergic, please let your you teacher if they don’t already from your questionnaire.

Find YOUR Zen

Remember it’s your class and your time to find you piece of peace pie. If postures gets too much come out and rest on your mat, be kind to yourself.

I came here for the SAVASANA

And finally Savasana is where we fully soak up the benefits of the postures, it can be like pressing a ‘reset’ button. Calming and soothing the central nervous system, relaxing our muscles and bringing the breath back to an enhanced relaxed state. Savasana is where we can actually just allow ourselves to completely melt into the floor and simply be present.
